YOUR MOTION. YOUR HISTORY.
Privacy and Data Collection Policy
Effective 2026-08-03 · Contact: brian.chilcutt@gmail.com
This policy explains One Motion’s collection and use of account, bowling-video, analysis, coaching, payment, and product-usage information.
1. Information collected
- Account: name, email, password hash, role, age group, guardian attestation, settings, and consent history.
- Motion evidence: original video, audio if present, extracted frames, timestamps, clips, camera information, and visible bowling movement.
- Analysis: observations, measurements, model input/output, reasoning, confidence, diagnoses, alternatives, corrections, coach edits, athlete-facing instruction, and feedback.
- Progress: sessions, before/after relationships, intervention attempts, athlete responses, whether an analysis helped, and later outcomes.
- Optional context: handedness, style, notes, equipment, bowling center, lane condition, competition context, and information voluntarily supplied by the athlete or coach.
- Commerce: product, price, payment status, provider identifiers, entitlement balance, acquisition source, QR attribution, booking, and subscription history. Complete card credentials remain with the payment processor.
- Technical: IP-derived security records, browser/device information, logs, request timing, errors, and access history.
- Live coaching: room participation, captured shots, annotations, notes, and—only when included or purchased and started—a full-session recording.
2. Required service uses
One Motion uses information to operate accounts; store and replay videos; extract frames; generate and display analysis; provide coaching; preserve lesson history; process purchases; issue credits; detect failures and abuse; secure, debug, back up, and maintain the service; communicate about transactions; and comply with law. These uses are necessary to provide the requested service.
3. Separate optional uses
- Product improvement: use saved activity, corrections, comparisons, and outcomes to improve One Motion’s software and diagnostic system.
- Research: include properly governed, de-identified derived data in studies of motion, intervention, and learning.
- Marketing: send news, offers, and coaching updates.
These choices are separate, optional, off by default, and changeable in Your data choices. Declining them does not prevent ordinary paid service.
4. Artificial intelligence and service providers
Video frames, prompts, and related context may be sent to Anthropic to generate analysis. One Motion also relies on providers that may include DigitalOcean for hosting and storage, Cloudflare for domain/security delivery, PayPal for payments, Daily for virtual video rooms and selected recordings, Google for calendar integration, and email providers for account or lesson communications. Each provider receives only information reasonably needed for its function and operates under its own terms and privacy commitments.
5. Motion data is not used for identity recognition
One Motion analyzes bowling movement and relationships visible in submitted video. It does not currently use facial recognition, identify people from face geometry, or create an identity-authentication template from a face, hand, retina, iris, voiceprint, or fingerprint. Movement-derived measurements can still be sensitive and are protected as personal data when linked to an account.
6. Disclosure and corporate insight
One Motion does not sell raw personal bowling videos as a general corporate product. Information may be disclosed to service providers, authorized coaches, people the user intentionally shares with, legal authorities when required, or a successor in a properly governed business transaction. Corporate and industry products should use aggregated or properly de-identified insight unless a person knowingly authorizes a specific identifiable use. Sponsors and commercial partners may not alter or suppress diagnoses.
7. Retention
One Motion is designed to preserve original evidence, analyses, coach edits, and progress history while an account is active because longitudinal comparison is part of the service. Payment and transaction records may be retained as legally or operationally required. Backups and security logs may persist for a limited period after deletion. A formal retention schedule is being implemented; until then, One Motion will not claim that information is automatically deleted on a fixed timetable.
8. Your choices and requests
You may review and change optional permissions through Your data choices. You may request access, correction, export, account closure, or deletion by contacting brian.chilcutt@gmail.com. Some records may be retained where required for transactions, security, disputes, or law. Withdrawal stops new optional use; it cannot reverse research that was already irreversibly de-identified or previously authorized disclosures.
9. Children
One Motion is not available to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their video or personal information through self-service accounts. Users aged 13–17 require parent or guardian authorization. If One Motion learns that an under-13 child’s information was collected without legally sufficient permission, it will disable collection and address deletion or verified parental consent as required.
10. Security and incidents
One Motion uses access controls, account authentication, restricted infrastructure, backups, and operational logging intended to protect information. No system is perfectly secure. One Motion will investigate security incidents and provide notices when required by applicable law.
11. Policy changes
Material changes will receive a new version date and may require renewed acknowledgment or consent. Prior consent records are retained so One Motion can establish which version and purpose a user accepted.
